Just look what they have to say…

Hi,

I actually live here but had never played Villamartin or Las Ramblas, both courses were excellent and all my friends from England enjoyed all 3 courses.

I had heard Las Rambles was a very tight course and it certainly was! Good fun though.

Thanks

Les

Thank you – yes we enjoyed the trip and we will book again with you next year.  The most favoured were Requelme, Las Colinas and Mar Menor.  La Valle was too punishing off the fairway for us and  less keen on Villamartin and Las Ramblas.  If we come later than early September perhaps we could go back to Roda, Lo Romero and La Finca?

Thanks again for your care and attention and will contact you next year for the next visit!

Tony

We had a great time thanks, courses were in good condition despite greens having recently been treated although the temperature we played in on some days presented its own issues.

Hopefully looking to plan trips for next year so will be in touch when we have decided

Regards

Andrew

How can you not enjoy playing golf in the sun! I do have a bit of a thing for La peraleja but given that it was worse than last year, if we book next year it wont be there.

Thanks Chris

Hey Paula, I hope you are well.

Comments from my fellow golfers as follows:

La Finca – decent, want to play again next year. Keep on the schedule until we find something better.

Las Colinas – the best they have played in Spain, never disappoints, noticeably busier but still the best. We will always end the trip on this, a definate every year unless something drastic changes.

Neil

Paula,

Everything was fine for the trip. Courses were a good mixture of difficulty and challenges.

I’d like to thank you especially for the time and effort to reschedule the course and Tee times when we visited the shop. I don’t know how I managed to get the dates changed and mixed up in my e-mail chain. But it all worked well thanks to your help.

We played with several people at 3 of the courses and Albatross Golf Tours were praised by us to them and your contact details given to the golfers making up the foursome with us. Hopefully this will bring in some new business for you.

I won’t be back now until next March / April but will be back in touch prior to our arrival.

Regards

Alan

Hi Paula, Gavin

Everything, as usual went fantastically well. We messed it up for you a little with me on crutches unable to play but apart from that then yes, you did your usual professional job for us.

We will be out again from Weds 13th – Sun 17th Sept 2017 next year to coincide with a Big 50TH Birthday so will be in touch in the New Year.

Thank you once again and hope you enjoy a prosperous end to the year

Many thanks

Leesey

On about next year too so will be in touch

Thanks again.

Stewart

All the courses were excellent and everyone had a great time. Favourite of the 3 that played all 5 courses was Las Collinas. We’ll all have to play that one next time.

Many thanks for organising. Will have no hesitation booking through you again next time.

Cheers

Yes thank you all very nice and everyone enjoyed themselves

Will be in touch next time

Regards Mick

Very good trip thank you. Both courses nice, Roda seemed a bit of a free for all in that the organization wasn’t great and no marshall starter etc. Can tell its gets a lot of use with pitch marks on green etc. Just for your info. Lo Romero very nice and better organized.

Many thanks

Gareth

Hi Paula, yes we had a good time and both courses were more than satisfactory. Lo Romero in particular continues to mature into a fine golf course and has now become our favourite course. Challenging, without being unfairly so.

Thank you. The trip was a success (apart from the golf), the courses were in good condition and I’m just looking forward to the next trip!

We are probably going to pop over in October, 4 of us so will let you know dates etc as I would be keen to get a couple of games in.

Thanks again for arranging, all good as always.

Speak soon.

John

All clubs hired were good as were all courses.

Everything went smoothly and I’d like to thank you for all your help in making it happen for us.

My only point is about the handle trolleys and insurance. This resulted in an extra 8 euros per person per day. Not your fault or problem but from a general feedback point of view we thought that this was a bit of a ‘try on’ by the courses and was not popular. Not enough to spoil a good trip though!

Regards,

Marc

Thank you for your email.

We had a great week out there, and will hopefully be returning in April or May for a week. I’ll be in contact when we have confirmed the dates.

Las Ramblas

Having significant work carried out on the tee boxes, but the course and greens are in probably the best condition I’ve ever known. The greens were pretty fast and rolled true. There appeared to be no really tight lies on the fairways.

Alenda

In very good condition, although most of the yellow tees on the day were on the Blue Tee box, which shortened the course significantly. Again, very good condition with some very interesting holes and a great variation of hole styles.

Altorreal

What a great find this course is. As a first timer on this course, I found the course (with the exception of 1 hole) played superbly, lush but closely cut fairways, numerous water and sand hazards, strategically placed.

Only downside was one hole (back 9, dog leg left, 2nd shot over water) was very wet on the fairway. Apparently there had been very heavy rainfall, and this had not drained away.

Font Del Llop

Another very interesting course, but the biggest complaint on this is the maps on each hole were nowhere near the tee box of the day, which meant we kept missing them and they were a lot less detailed than the hole maps on all the other courses, so we were not aware of trouble if you went long on your approach shots.

Again, very good condition course and another I would go back too, now I know the trouble from going long. Strokesaver booklets were very expensive (€8 each)

Phil

We had a great time and all the courses were brill Thanks

Ray

Hi Gavin,
Just a quick thank you for all your time arranging the golf weekend for us 12th-15th Sept. Apart from sending them to Alicante airport on the way home instead of Murcia (my stupid fault not yours or Kevins!!, although I can’t believe nobody checked before leaving the digs), everything else went superbly. The B and B was EXCEPTIONAL and would recommend you use them in the future.
We are already getting numbers ready for next year so when I have everything in place I will be contacting you again.
It was also good to play with someone who knew what they were doing instead of us ‘hackers’!!!
Thank you once again and all the best for the future

Hi Gavin

Thanks for booking the golf for us. Just thought I’d give you some feedback I did shop around and you were the most competitive and responsive by far! So thanks again.

I have a place in Spain and get over as often as possible so will be sure to book with you in the future and also pass your details on.

Cheers

Hi Gavin ,

Just thought I should drop you a quick thank you for your work in helping to organise a great weekend over in Spain. All of the lads thoroughly enjoyed themselves and there’s already talk of organising another trip next year.

A big thank you and will definitely be back in touch

Best regards

Hi Gavin, Just a quick line to let you all know that we got back to the UK safe & sound after what can only be described as the best golfing break we have ever had. Looking forward to meeting up again next year.
DR. W Rusung – Sheffield UK.
Dear All – What can I say…. but Thanks. Not only did the golfers have a great time, but thanks to Paula, the girls kept themselves entertained whilst we played. Great golf, wine, food & accommodation. Cannot wait for the new courses to come online next year. See you in 2010.
Mr A Wilkins – Southampton
Dear Albatross, I feel compelled to write to thank your teaching pro for his time and patience whilst teaching my wife and myself the finer points of the game. We have gone in a very short period of time from nearly giving up the game to embracing it full on with a new found confidence . Goodbye and good riddance to my snap hook and hello to a respectable handicap.
P Smirk – Guardamar
Once again EGTF Pro, Gavin Riddall was hosting the event and as usual he produced a fun, friendly and very well organised event.  This particular Pro Am seems to be catching the eye of more and more people, especially as there has been very little golf played anywhere in Europe for some months.  The guys were desperate to dust off their clubs and get out onto the links.

The courses chosen this year were La Serana, Roda and Villamartin, all slightly different to each other, but all a very stiff test.  The weather over the first couple of days was very testing, with very high winds causing some serious problems with some of the players’ delicate golf swings!!

The week was finished with a lovely presentation evening, where the participants reflected on a good, fun week over a few cold beverages (ok maybe more than a few!!)

Thanks once again to everyone who turned up and made the week go so well, and especially to Gavin, whose organisational skills helped keep the tournament running smoothly.

I’m looking forward to next year’s event.
